Abia State University has released the schedule for its 30th to 32nd combined convocation ceremony. The programme covers the 2022/2023, 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 sets of graduands; it also sets out the key dates, venues, charges and guest seating time.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ndukwe J. Okeudo, on behalf of Council and Senate, invited the academia, parents, guardians and well wishers to the Convocation activities.

The pre-convocation lecture will be delivered by Professor Bart Nnaji, former Hon. Minister of Power, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Conferment of degrees, prizes and honorary doctorate degrees
The university will confer First Degrees and Higher Degrees; it will also present prizes and Honorary Doctorate Degrees.
The honorary doctorate recipients listed are:
- His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), Ooni of Ife
- Dr Barr Allen Onyema, Chairman/CEO, Airpeace Limited, Nigeria
- Dr Stella Chinyelu Okoli, Group Managing Director, Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries, Lagos
Academic regalia and convocation brochure fees
The university fixed the hiring cost of academic regalia and the convocation brochure as follows:
- Higher Degrees: N20,000
- First Degrees: N15,000
All payments are to be made at the Abia State University Micro-Finance Bank, Uturu, or other designated banks approved by the University.
Date for collection of materials
Issuance of the academic regalia and convocation brochure begins on Wednesday, 25 March 2026.
Important note for invited guests
All invited guests are expected to be seated by 9.30 am before the arrival of the Academic Procession. That detail matters; late seating is not part of the notice.
